There was just so much WRONG with that whole fucking statement. Where do I begin?
Okay, first … when Africa was at it’s prime (before the scramble, colonization and white people) .. Christianity hardly existed, most Africans, did in fact practice voodoo .. or similar practices. Only in certain regions, like the Aksum Empire (Ethiopia and Eritrea) was Christianity common. So, if voodoo/indigenous beliefs are so BAD as she claims, then why is Africa’s introduction to Christianity simultaneously the time when the continent’s decline began? Seems to contradict her entire statement.
Ethiopia is the beginning of Christianity in Africa and yet it remains one of the most undernourished, exploited and mishandled regions in Africa. WHY?! I’ve been to Ethiopia, they are the most devout followers, they give food/money they don’t have to the church, they walk for miles to go to church, pray numerous times a day and they hang countless Jesus monuments in their home .. why do they suffer?
And what the fuck kinda God doesn’t like the way his children worship him, so he decides that poverty, starvation and catastrophic natural disasters are the way to punish them? Really..?! I haven’t been the perfect kid, but should my mom withhold food, water and other basic necessities from me to survive. She’d be deemed a horrible mother, so why is it okay for God to do that? That’s not the type of God that I respect, nor believe in. The fact that my mom somehow rationalized that in her head to seem justifiable is disgusting to me.
Christianity does this to people. I don’t know what it is about Christianity, because although there are Muslim and Jewish extremists, it hardly represents the bulk of the followers. But Christianity, idk, something is off about the religion/followers. Almost every devout Christian that I come across is a biased, hypocritical, bible-totting piece of shit.
